Victor Garber and Mimi Hines Join Follies Cast

Victor Garber will play Benjamin Stone and Mimi Hines will play Hattie Walker in the City Center Encores! presentation of the 1971 Stephen Sondheim-James Goldman musical Follies, which will run February 8-11. The production will be directed by Tony Award nominee Casey Nicholaw, with music direction by Eric Stern.

As previously announced, Christine Baranski will play Carlotta Campion, Philip Bosco will play Dimitri Weismann, Victoria Clark will play Sally Durant Plummer, Michael McGrath will play Buddy Plummer, Donna Murphy will play Phyllis Rogers Stone, and Joanne Worley will play Stella Deems. The production will also feature Lucine Amara as Heidi Schiller, Leena Chopra as Young Heidi, Yvonne Constant as Solange Lafitte, Robert Fitch as Theodore Whitman, Diane J. Findlay as Sandra Cranes, Arthur Rubin as Roscoe, Dorothy Stanley as Dee Dee West, and Gerry Vichi as Max Deems. Further casting will be announced at a later date.

Garber is a four-time Tony Award nominee for Damn Yankees, Lend Me a Tenor, Deathtrap, and Little Me. His other New York stage credits include Arcadia, Sweeney Todd, Assassins, and the recent Encores! production of Of Thee I Sing He received Emmy Award nominations for the miniseries Life With Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows and the TV series Alias. Most recently, he starred in the Fox-TV series Justice.

Hines starred in the original Broadway production of Funny Girl, replacing Barbra Streisand in the role of Fanny Brice. Her other stage credits include I Do! I Do!, Anything Goes, Hello, Dolly!, and Pippin. She has been a popular television and nightclub performer for over four decades.
