Kathleen Turner and Matthew Cowles to Star in Happy Days Reading

Kathleen Turner and Matthew Cowles will star in the Food for Thought reading of Samuel Beckett’s classic play Happy Days at 1:30pm on Monday, November 20 at the Players Club (16 Gramercy Park South). The reading will be directed by Anthony Marselis.

Turner most recently appeared on Broadway in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, for which she received a Tony Award nomination. She also starred in the show’s London production, for which she was recently nominated for an Evening Standard Award, and will begin the show’s national tour in January. Her other Broadway credits include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, for which she received a Tony nomination, Indiscretions, and The Graduate. Her many film credits include Peggy Sue Get Married, for which she received an Oscar nomination, Romancing the Stone, and Serial Mom.

Cowles’ stage credits include the Broadway productions of Malcolm, The Time of Your Life, and Sweet Bird of Youth, and the Off-Broadway productions of The Indian Wants the Bronx, Triple Play, and Kid Champion. His television credits include Oz and All My Children, in which he played Billy Clyde Tuggle.
