Jonathan Hadary and Marin Mazzie to Host Gypsy of the Year

Spamalot stars Marin Mazzie and Jonathan Hadary will host the annual Gypsy of the Year Competition, to be held on December 4-5 at the Neil Simon Theatre. All proceeds from the event will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

One of the season’s most anticipated shows, Gypsy of the Year features chorus members from Broadway and Off-Broadway shows performing specially-created musical numbers. The show also marks the end of six weeks of intensive fundraising by the community. Last year’s competition brought in close to $3 million.

This year’s judges include actresses Marian Seldes and Jill Clayburgh, choreographer-director Christopher Gattelli, and BC/EFA donors Judy Dove and Marian Duckworth Smith.
