Kline is a two-time Tony Award winner whose many stage credits include The Pirates of Penzance, The Seagull, Mother Courage and Her Children, On the Twentieth Century, and Henry IV. He won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for A Fish Called Wanda.
Lapine has been nominated for seven Tonys as Best Director of a Musical and won Tonys for Best Book of a Musical for Into the Woods, Passion, and Falsettos. In addition, he received the Pulitzer Prize for his work on Sunday in the Park With George. His previous credits at The Public include productions of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Winter's Tale.
