The casts of the Broadway shows A Chorus Line, The Color Purple, Dr Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, and Monty Python’s Spamalot will perform in the 80th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, to be held in New York City on Thursday, November 23. The parade will be telecast live, beginning at 9am, on NBC.

In addition, Brian d’Arcy James, Anastasia Barzee, Jeffry Denman, and Meredith Patterson, who starred in the regional musical favorite White Christmas, will be on the Pillsbury “Holiday Lovin’ Oven” float, performing “I’ve Got My Live to Keep My Warm.” The show’s cast recording was recently released by Ghostlight Records.

As previously reported, Oscar winner and beloved Broadway star Julie Andrews will appear on another of the parade’s floats, touting her new children’s book The Great American Mousical and lip-synching to a recording of “The Show Must Go On,” a song she wrote to accompany the book.

The parade’s opening number, “Give Me a Drum” — with music by Michael Feinstein and lyrics by Bill Schemerhorn, Macy’s creative director — will be performed by the Camp Broadway kids. It will be choreographed by Tony Parise.
