Andrea McArdle to Star in Prince’s Annie Get Your Gun

Andrea McArdle will play legendary sharpshooter Annie Oakley in the Prince Music Theater’s new production of Irving Berlin’s Annie Get Your Gun, December 2-31. The production, to be directed by Richard Parison, Jr., will open December 9.

The production will be choreographed by Mercedes Ellington, with music direction by Eric Barnes. The design team will include Todd Ivins (sets), Maggie Baker Atkins (costumes), Shelley Hicklin (lighting), and Otts Munderloh (sound). Parrison directed the Prince’s highly successful production of Dreamgirls last season.

The cast will include Jeffrey Coon as Frank Butler, John Scherer as Charlie Davenport, Mary Martello as Dolly Tate, Chris Coucill as Col. Buffalo Bill, Arthur Ryan as Sitting Bull, Dan Schiff as Pawnee Bill, Caitlin Reilly as Minnie Oakley, Josie Andrews and Kristina Biddle as Jessie Oakley, Erica Mabry and Jamie O’Brien as Nellie Oakley, Wesley Campinello and Connor O’Brien as Little Jake Oakley.

The ensemble will feature Conrad Ricamora, Kevin Commaratta, Ben Kramer, Michael Philip O’Brien, Michael Newman, Alexis Sims, Annie Connors, Jodi Kuhlman, Andrea Nora Wright, Cynthia Raff, Elyse Taylor.

McArdle recieved a Tony Award nomination and a Theater World Award for playing the title role in Annie. Her other Broadway credits include Starlight Express, Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast, and State Fair. In addition, she starred on the soap opera Search for Tomorrow and played Judy Garland in the television film Rainbow.
