Thom Pain Gets New Star for Last Five Weeks of Run

Michael Milligan will assume the title role in Will Eno’s play Thom Pain (based on nothing) on November 21, and will remain in the part until the show closes on December 24. Milligan, who is the third actor to play the role — after James Urbaniak and current star T. Ryder Smith — has appeared Off-Broadway in The Golem and in many regional productions.

Smith is leaving to appear in Anne Washburn’s Apparition, which will play the Connelly Theater, November 28-January 7. Directed by Les Waters, Apparition also stars Maria Dizzia, Emily Donahoe, David Andrew McMahon, and Garrett Neergard, and features set design by Andromache Chalfant, costume design by Christal Weatherly, lighting design by Jane Cox, and sound design by Darron L. West.
