Rebecca Luker Will Salute Female Songwriters at Feinstein’s

Broadway star Rebecca Luker will present a show devoted to female songwriters at Feinstein’s at the Regency, December 12-15. In the new act, directed by Mark Waldrop, Luker will sing songs that were written or co-written by Dorothy Fields, Betty Comden, Kay Swift, Carolyn Leigh, Lucy Simon, Jenny Giering and Beth Blatt, Catherine Cox, Debra Barsha, Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, and Jessica Molaskey. She will be joined by Joseph Thalken on piano and Dick Sarpola on bass.

Luker received Tony Award nominations for her performances in The Music Man and Show Boat, and a Drama Desk Award nomination for her work in The Secret Garden. Among her other Broadway credits are The Sound of Music, The Phantom of the Opera, and Nine. She also starred in the New York City Opera production of Brigadoon, the Kennedy Center production of Passion, and the City Center Encores! production of The Boys From Syracuse.
