Michael Frayn and Michael Blakemore — the playwright and director of Democracy, set to open on Broadway on November 18 — will be the next participants in TheaterMania’s series of talks with theater people at Ars Nova. David Finkle, TheaterMania’s chief drama critic, will discuss their work on this production as well as other aspects of their careers, together and separately. The event will take place on Sunday, November 14 at 12:30pm.

The playwright and director have collaborated on a number of Frayn’s plays over the past 20 years, including Benefactors, Noises Off, and Copenhagen. Democracy, which chronicles the life of German chancellor Willy Brandt, premiered at London’s Royal National Theatre last year. The Broadway production stars James Naughton and Richard Thomas.

Ars Nova is located at 511 West 54th Street, between 10th and 11th avenues. Tickets to the November 14 event are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. To purchase tickets, click here.
