Singer Tom Postilio will give a one-night-only concert on Friday, December 13, 8pm, at Westbury Music Fair, located at 960 Brush Hollow Road in Westbury, New York. Backed by his five-piece band, Postilio will perform a program of American standards by such composers as Rodgers and Hart, Jerome Kern, Oscar Hammerstein, and Cole Porter.

The concert will feature a special birthday tribute to Frank Sinatra, who was born on December 12, 1915, along with several holiday selections including the Irving Berlin classic “White Christmas.” Postilio’s guests for the evening will be 19-year old Concord Jazz recording artist Peter Cincotti, singer Hilary Kole (Our Sinatra), comedian Angela LaGreca (ABC-TV’s The View), and the 50-member Hauppauge Children’s Choir. “The concert date happened to fall at a great time to celebrate both Sinatra and the holidays,” Postilio tells TheaterMania.com. “It’s going to be an old-style, family entertainment extravaganza.”

Postilio has just completed an 18-month run in the Off-Broadway revue Our Sinatra. Among his many concert and cabaret engagements, he has performed in the fabled Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel and in the Chestnut Room at Tavern on the Green. His TV appearances include NBC-TV’s Weekend Today show, for which he sang live in Rockefeller Plaza, and Sinatra: The Very Good Years (a presentation of PBS’s Great Performances series). Postilio has also been profiled by the BBC News and CNN. Among his recordings are What Matters Most (Elba) and Dream (DRG), both arranged and conducted by John Oddo.

Tickets for the Westbury concert are $37.50; for further information, phone 631-888-9000 or 212-307-7171, or visit www.ticketmaster.com. For more on Tom Postilio, visit www.tompostilio.com.
