The Roundabout Theatre Company will hold its 2002 Arts-in-Education benefit on Monday, December 2 at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. The evening will include a cocktail reception, a silent auction, and a 30-minute performance by Alan Cumming, star of such Roundabout productions as Cabaret and Design for Living.

Other guests scheduled to appear at the event include Polly Bergen, Katie Finneran, Live Schreiber, Kim Cattrall, Phylicia Rashad, Bill Irwin, and Ann Reinking. Bergen, Jane Krakowski, and Cynthia Nixon are honorary chairs for the benefit, which will acknowledge The Hadar Foundation for establishing the Roundabout Theatre Scholarship to support the college education of a theater student. The recipient of the scholarship will be chosen from participants in the Roundabout’s Arts-in-Education programs — in-school artist residencies, internships, discussion series, and professional development workshops involving thousands of NYC public school students annually.

The cocktail reception will begin at 6:30pm and the performance at 8pm in the Church Lounge on the first floor The Tribeca Grand, located at 2 Sixth Avenue (at White Street). Tickets are available at $300 and $150. For information, contact Elaina Grillo at 212-719-9393.
