The original off-Broadway cast recording of Dave Molloy's Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 will receive a pair of releases — a full, two-disc deluxe edition and a highlights version — both of which will hit digital outlets October 29. The two-CD set will start appearing in music stores December 10.

Dean Sharenow, Kurt Deutsch, and Howard and Janet Kagan have produced the CD on the Ghostlight Records label. Featured on the album are David Abeles, Brittain Ashford, Gelsey Bell, Catherine Brookman, Nick Choksi, Ken Clark, Ashkon Davaran, Blake DeLong, Amber Gray, Luke Holloway, Dave Malloy, Grace McLean, Azudi Onyejekwe, Paul Pinto, Phillipa Soo, Lucas Steele, Shaina Taub, Mariand Torres, and Lauren Zakrin.

The show's plot draws from a portion of Leo Tolstoy's War and Peace and follows Natasha Rostova (Soo), who arrives in Moscow to await the return of her fiancé from the front lines. When she falls under the spell of the city's most charming rogue, it is up to the disillusioned Pierre (Molloy on the disc; Abeles in production) to pick up the pieces of her reputation. After a Drama Desk Award-nominated run at Ars Nova, the electro-pop opera, directed by Rachel Chavkin, moved to a specially constructed Russian Supper Club called Kazino. After a summer 2013 run on Washington Street, Kazino has been relocated to West 45th Street in the Theater District.
