John Kander and Greg Pierce's The Landing, Starring Tony Winner David Hyde Pierce, Extends at The Vineyard Theatre

The new musical also stars Paul Anthony Stewart, Julia Murney, and Frankie Seratch.

The Vineyard Theatre has announced that The Landing will have two weeks added to its scheduled run. With music by John Kander and book and lyrics by Greg Pierce, the tuner will now play through November 24.

The Landing, the first collaboration between Kander (Chicago the Musical, Cabaret) and Pierce (Slowgirl), tells three tales of love, loss, and desire. Its cast includes Tony and Emmy winner David Hyde Pierce (Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike), Julia Murney (Wicked), Paul Anthony Stewart (Harbor), and newcomer Frankie Seratch.

The show features scenic design by two-time Tony winner John Lee Beatty (The Nance), lighting design by Tony winner Ken Billington (The Scottsboro Boys), costume design by Michael Krass (The Lyons), and sound design by Nevin Steinberg (Cinderella). Music direction is by David Loud (The Scottsboro Boys), with orchestrations by Larry Hochman (Big Fish).

The Landing began previews October 3. Opening night is set for October 23.
