Tony Award winner Chita Rivera feted her 80th birthday in style on Monday, October 7, with Chita: A Legendary Celebration on Broadway at the August Wilson Theatre. Directed by Graciela Daniele, written by Terrence McNally, and featuring musical direction by Michael Croiter, the evening served as a benefit for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Joining Rivera to recount her experiences onstage, from West Side Story to Kiss of the Spider Woman, were her Broadway pals Tommy Tune and Ben Vereen, along with hoofers Kyle Taylor Parker, Nathan Peck, Richard Amaro, Brad Bradley, Lloyd Culbreath, Raymond Del Barrio, Robert Montano, and Alex Sanchez.
