Broadway’s Kathleen Chalfant and Kate Mulgrew to Host Vineyard’s Emerging Artists Luncheon

The event will take place at the National Arts Club on October 3.

Vineyard Theatre has announced that actresses Kathleen Chalfant and Kate Mulgrew will host the company’s Emerging Artists Luncheon at the National Arts Club on October 3. Emcees Chalfant and Mulgrew last shared the stage in The Vineyard's world premiere of Jenny Schwartz's Somewhere Fun last season.

The event will feature the presentation of the 2013 Paula Vogel Playwriting Award to San Francisco-based writer Christopher Chen. Vogel will present the award herself. The award comes with a cash prize and artistic support over the 2013-14 season.

The Vineyard Theatre is one of the nation's leading not-for-profit theater companies. The company has been dedicated to the creation and production of new plays and musicals for the past 30 years. The Vineyard's productions have been honored with two Pulitzer Prizes, three Tony Awards, and numerous Drama Desks, OBIES, and other accolades.
