The actress and talk show host will play Maris Elder, a shut-in resident of the Drake apartment building who helps Rachael Taylor's Jane understand her supernatural powers through hypnosis. The episode will air in December.

Goldberg received a Drama Desk and Theatre World Award for her 1985 Broadway solo show Whoopi Goldberg, and has also appeared on Broadway in Xanadu, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, and Whoopi. She is the recipient of an Academy Award for her work in Ghost, a Daytime Emmy for her work as co-host of The View, and a Grammy Award. Most recently, she appeared on the FOX series Glee.
