Whoopi Goldberg to Guest Star on ABC’s 666 Park Avenue

Stage and screen favorite Whoopi Goldberg will make an appearance on ABC’s mysterious new drama 666 Park Avenue, according to TVGuide.

The actress and talk show host will play Maris Elder, a shut-in resident of the Drake apartment building who helps Rachael Taylor’s Jane understand her supernatural powers through hypnosis. The episode will air in December.

Goldberg received a Drama Desk and Theatre World Award for her 1985 Broadway solo show Whoopi Goldberg, and has also appeared on Broadway in Xanadu, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and Whoopi. She is the recipient of an Academy Award for her work in Ghost, a Daytime Emmy for her work as co-host of The View, and a Grammy Award. Most recently, she appeared on the FOX series Glee.
