Soho Rep Season to Include Nature Theater of Oklahoma’s Life and Times at the Public

Soho Rep has announced plans for its 2012-2013 fall-winter season of mainstage productions.

The season’s first offering will be Jackie Sibblies Drury’s We Are Proud to Present a Presentation About the Herero of Namibia, Formerly Known as South West Africa, From the German Sudwestafrika, Between the Years 1884-1915, a humorous and harrowing work directed by Eric Ting. The production will run November 7-December 2. The design team will include Mimi Lien (set design), Toni-Leslie James (costume design), Lenore Doxsee (lighting design), Chris Giarmo (sound design), and Jeff Larson (projection design).

2013 will kick off with Life and Times: Episodes 1-4, Nature Theater of Oklahoma’s epic musical serial, presented by The Public Theater (January 16-February 2) as a special engagement of the Under the Radar Festival 2013 . The work, which is from a conversation with Kristin Worrall, can be seen in installments or, together, as a marathon. The cast features Ilan Bachrach, Elisabeth Conner, Gabel Eiben, Anne Gridley, Matthew Korahais, Julie LaMendola, Alison Weisgall, and Kristin Worrall, with design by Peter Nigrini and original music by Robert M. Johanson, Julie LaMendola, and Daniel Gower.
