Robert LePage, Ron Cephas Jones, Seth Numrich Among Participants in Shakespeare at the Opera Event

The Shakespeare Society and the Metropolitan Opera are teaming up for a special Shakespeare at the Opera: Robert Lepage & The Tempest event, to be held at the Kaye Playhouse on Monday, October 15 at 7pm.

This evening of opera, discussion, and onstage conversation with director Robert Lepage, will focus on the Metropolitan Opera premiere of Thomas Adès's The Tempest on October 23. It will also feature commentary by Notre Dame's Peter Holland, selections from the Adès opera sung by Rod Gilfry as Prospero, Alex Shrader as Ferdinand, Isabel Leonard as Miranda, Laure Meloy as Ariel, and Adam Klein as Caliban with MET Assistant conductor Matthew Aucoin accompanying on piano.

Additionally, there will be readings from Shakespeare's The Tempest by Ron Cephas Jones, Seth Numrich, and Samantha Soule.
