John Bolton, Erin Dilly, Dan Lauria, Johnny Rabe Tell a Broadway Christmas Story

The cast of Broadway’s A Christmas Story, The Musical met the press at the New 42nd Street Studios and offered a taste of the holiday-flavored musical, which runs at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre from November 5 to December 30.

Based on the writings of humorist Jean Shepherd and the popular 1983 film A Christmas Story, the musical features a score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, with a book by Joseph Robinette, direction by John Rando, and choreography by Warren Carlyle.

Newcomer Johnny Rabe stars as Ralphie, with John Bolton as The Old Man, Erin Dilly as Mother, Zac Ballard as Randy, Eddie Korbich as Santa Claus, Caroline O’Connor as Miss Shields, and Dan Lauria as Jean Shepard.

The ensemble includes Tia Altinay, John Babbo, Charissa Bertels, Grace Capeless, Zoe Considine, Andrew Cristi, Mathew deGuzman, Thay Flloyd, George Franklin, Nick Gaswirth, Mark Ledbetter, Jose Luaces, Jack Mastrianni, Mara Newbery, Lindsay O’Neil, Sarah Min-Kyung Park, J.D. Rodriguez, Analise Scarpaci, Lara Seibert, Jeremy Shinder, Luke Spring, Beatrice Tulchin, and Kirsten Wyatt. Two bloodhounds, trained by Bill Berloni, are also featured in the production.

Scenic design will be by Walt Spangler, costume design by Elizabeth Hope Clancy, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Ken Travis, wig design by Tom Watson, orchestrations by Tony nominee Larry Blan, music direction and supervision by Ian Eisendrath, dance music arrangements by Glen Kelly, and vocal arrangements by Justin Paul.
