Jeremy Shamos (Glengarry Glen Ross), Sam Robards (HBO’s Treme), and Mark Blum (Gore Vidal’s The Best Man) will join the previously announced Jessica Hecht and Judith Light in Manhattan Theatre Club’s Broadway production of The Assembled Parties by Richard Greenberg, beginning performances March 19 with an April 17 opening at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Lynne Meadow will direct.

Blum and Robards will play members of the Bascov family, an Upper West Side Jewish family in 1980 that finds itself hosting a house guest (Shamos) who insinuates himself into the family drama.

The design team will include Santo Loquasto (set design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), and Obadiah Eaves (original music and sound design).

Full casting will be announced at a later date.
