Brian Stokes Mitchell to Release New Album and Embark on Charitable Concert Tour

Tony Award-winner Brian Stokes Mitchell will release his new solo album, Simply Broadway, on Tuesday, October 30, and embark on a five-city charitable concert tour on Wednesday, October 31, with some of the proceeds from the tour to go the Actors Fund, of which Stokes is Chairman of the Board.

Simply Broadway, which will be released on Amazon, iTunes, and CD Baby, will feature songs from such Broadway hits as Company, Sunday in the Park With George, Porgy and Bess, and Les Miserables, to be performed in the tone and spirit of the original versions but with new arrangements.

Stokes’ charitable concert tour will kick-off at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, with additional venues will be announced in the future.

Mitchell’s many Broadway credits include Kiss Me, Kate, Man of La Mancha, Ragtime, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, and Kiss of the Spider Woman.
