Reed Birney, Rob Campbell Set for Larry Kirwan’s Rebel in the Soul Reading

Reed Birney and Rob Campbell will star in The Irish Repertory Theatre’s free reading of Larry Kirwan’s Rebel in the Soul at 3pm on Friday, October 21. The company’s artistic directo,r Charlotte Moore will direct the reading.
Rebel in the Soul is set in 1951 and focuses on a confrontation between Dr. Noel Browne, Minister of Health in the Irish Government, and Dr. John Charles McQuaid, Archbishop of Dublin over Browne’s Mother and Child Health Scheme.
Kirwan has written two novels, Liverpool Fantasy and Rockin’ the Bronx as well as the memoir Green Suede Shoes and Mad Angels, a collection of plays. .
