Grammy Award-winning composer Bill Whelan celebrated the opening night of his concert, An Evening with Bill Whelan, at the Irish Arts Center on Saturday, October 29.
Whelan, best known for his score to Riverdance, performed alongside world-renowned fiddler Athena Tergis, an orchestra and special guests including singer Morgan Crowley and Irish dancer Mick Donegan.
Among the guests on opening night were Broadway stars Andre De Shields and Angela Lansbury; celebrated actor and writer Malachy McCourt with son Cormac; and famed sex columnist Dr. Ruth Westheimer.
