Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center Cancels Performances Due to IATSE Strike

All performances at Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center have been cancelled, as the International Association of Theatrical Stage Employees has initiated a strike against. Kimmel Center’s contracts with IATSE, which represents ushers, box office personnel, stagehands and wardrobe employees, expired on Saturday, October 1.


Among the cancelled performances was the concert by four-time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald, scheduled for October 1 at Verizon Hall. It has been rescheduled for November 30 at 8pm.


Angela Barrows-Dunlap’s Why Do Good Girls Like Bad Boyz and The Big Bang have also been cancelled.
