King Kong Live Stage Production to Premiere in Australia in 2013

A live stage production of King Kong will receive its world premiere from Global Creatures at the Regent Theatre in Melbourne, Australia in 2013.
Set in 1933 in New York City at the height of the Depression, the production will feature a cast of more than forty actors, singers, dancers and puppeteers.
As previously reported, Tony Award nominee Craig Lucas and Grammy Award nominee Marius de Vries are collaborating on this musical version, which has been developed with the cooperation of the estate of Merian C. Cooper, who created the character. Daniel Kramer is scheduled to direct the show.
