George Watsky and The Gregory Brothers to Join Team StarKid for Space Tour Stops

Rapper/poet George Watsky and The Gregory Brothers (creators of “Auto-Tune the News”) will join Team StarKid for stops of The Space Tour (StarKid Precarious Auditory Concert Experience), on November 20 and 27, respectively.

The show is a compilation of numbers from many of the productions produced by the Chicago-based group Team StarKid, including A Very Potter Musical, A Very Potter Sequel, Me and My Dick, and Starship.

As previously announced, the tour will launch with a performance at The Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor on November 4 at 8pm. Other tour stops will include the London Music Hall in London, Ontario (November 5 at 2:30pm and 8pm), The Mod Club in Toronto (November 6 at 2:30pm and 8pm), House of Blues in Cleveland, OH (November 7 at 8pm), The Bottom Lounge in Chicago, IL (November 8 at 7:30pm), House of Blues in New Orleans, LA (November 10 at 7pm), Antone’s in Austin, TX (November 12 at 2:30pm), House of Blues in Dallas, TX (November 13 at 3pm and 8pm), Center Stage Theater in Atlanta, GA (November 15 at 8pm), The Fillmore Charlotte in Charlotte, NC (November 19 at 8pm), The Fillmore Silver Spring in Silver Springs, MD (November 20 at 8pm), Bogart’s in Cincinnati, OH (November 22 at 8pm), and House of Blues in Boston, MA (November 25 at 2pm and 8pm).

As previously reported, Glee star Darren Criss, who will soon be taking over the lead role in the Broadway production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, will make a guest appearance for the now sold-out New York shows at Irving Plaza, on November 26 at Noon and 5pm. The tour will conclude with a New York performance at the Gramercy Theatre on November 27, at 4pm.

The primary cast for the concert tour includes Jaime Lyn Beatty, Brian Holden, Lauren Lopez, Joey Richter, Dylan Saunders, Meredith Stepien, and Joseph Walker. The live band features Charlene Kaye (guitar), Clark Baxtresser (keyboard), Mark Swiderski (drums), and Carlos Valdes (bass). The tour is directed by Julia Albain, with choreography by Lauren Lopez, music direction by Clark Baxtresser, and production design by Corey Lubowich. Opening on tour is singer-songwriter Charlene Kaye.
