Chris Rock, Tyler Perry, et al. to Be Honored at Triumph Awards

Actor, playwright, and producer Tyler Perry and stage and screen star Chris Rock and his wife Malaak will be among the honorees at the National Action Network’s 2nd annual Triumph Awards to be held at 8pm on Wednesday, October 19 at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

The event will honor those who have made a positive impact beyond their performances on stage, in the arts, in sports, and in the community

Honorees will also include Marva Smalls, Viacom, Nickelodeon, Jimmie Lee Solomon, Major League Baseball, Tina Thompson, Los Angeles Sparks, Maurice Cox, Kamala Harris, and Judge Greg Mathis.

The evening will feature a performance by the cast of Layon Gray’s award winning Off-Broadway play Black Angels Over Tuskegee.
