Maria Dizzia, Matt Maher, et al. Set for The Civilians’ Let Me Ascertain You at Joe’s Pub

Tony nominee Maria Dizzia and Obie Award winner Matt Maher will be featured in Let Me Ascertain You: Crime, USA, a cabaret preview performance of The Civilians’ newest piece, conceived and directed by Alix Lambert. It will be presented at Joe’s Pub on Thursday, November 4 at 9:30pm.

Crime, USA is The Civilians’ investigation into the world of crime in the United States, which began one year ago in residency at The Studios Of Key West, in Key West, Florida – Mile Zero. Civilians’ artists will introduce the audience to characters interviewed in Key West and New York City, including criminals, cops, employees of the FBI and DOJ, pawnshop workers, experts on serial killers, crime writers, former gang members, and one man named Monkey Tom. The Joe’s Pub presentation will feature the performance of several original songs.

The cast will also include Frank Harts and Brandon Miller, along with musicians
Scrapomatic, Mike Mattison, Paul Olsen, and Dave York.
