Linda Cardellini, Michael Shannon, John Slattery, Paul Sparks Set for Return Film

Stage veterans Michael Shannon, John Slattery, and Paul Sparks will co-star alongside Linda Cardellini in the independent film, Return, according to Variety.

The film centers around a military woman (played by Cardellini) who returns from a tour of duty and finds it hard to readjust.

Cardellini is best known for her roles in the TV series Freaks and Geeks and ER. Shannon received an Academy Award nomination for Revolutionary Road, and stars in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. His numerous New York stage credits include Our Town, Bug, Killer Joe, The Little Flower of East Orange, and Lady, and he will star in Mistakes Were Made at the Barrow Street Theater, beginning in November.

Slattery is a three-time Emmy Award nominee for AMC’s Mad Men. His many stage credits include Rabbit Hole, Betrayal, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, and Three Days of Rain. Sparks’ Broadway credits include Hedda Gabler and Take Me Out. He is a four-time Drama Desk nominee, and also appears in HBO’s Boardwalk Empire.
