Alejandro Rodriguez and Kaliswa Brewster will play the title characters in The Guthrie Theater and The Acting Company’s Romeo and Juliet, to run October 22-24 at Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts. Penny Metroulos, as previously reported, will direct the production.

The production is part of Pace University’s Shakespeare Season at the venue, which all also include the previously reported engagement of The Merry Wives of Windsor from London’s Shakespeare’s Globe. Directed by Christopher Luscombe, the production will run at the Schimmel Center October 28 – November 7.

The Guthrie and Acting Company will return to the Schimmel next spring with The Comedy of Errors (April 4-17). In addition, Theater for a New Audience will bring Darko Tresjnak’s staging of The Merchant of Venice (February 27 – March 13), starring F. Murray Abraham, to the space.
