Tony Award winner Idina Menzel will perform at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center’s Cabaret gala to be held on October 13 at 6:30pm at the Park Avenue. CBS News’ Katie Couric will host the event, which will raise money to support the institution’s ongoing work.

Menzel won a Tony for Best Actress in a Musical for originating the role of Elphaba in Wicked. She also received a Tony nomination for playing Maureen in Rent, a role she recreated for the 2005 film version. She also appeared in the London concert version of Chess, and starred in the Off-Broadway musical The Wild Party. She also co-starred in the Oscar-nominated film Enchanted and plays Shelby Corcoran on FOX’s Glee.

In addition to the performance, the black-tie event will feature cocktails and dinner. Tickets start at $2,000 per person.
