Etai BenShlomo, Tom Flynn Join Broadway’s Wicked Beginning November 2

Etai BenShlomo and Tom Flynn will take over the roles of Boq and Dr. Dillamond, respectively, in the Broadway production of Wicked, at the Gershwin Theatre, beginning Tuesday, November 2. They replace Alex Brightman and Timothy Britten Parker, who will play their final performances on Sunday, October 31.

Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel of the same name, Wicked tells the untold story of the witches of Oz, and how they grew to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. The musical features a score by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello, with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.

The current cast also includes Mandy Gonzalez as Elphaba, Katie Rose Clarke as Glinda, Kathy Fitzgerald as Madame Morrible, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Andy Karl as Fiyero, and Jenny Fellner as Nessarose.

Benshlomo will be making his Broadway debut. He has previously appeared in the San Francisco and national tour productions of Wicked, with other stage credits including High School Musical, Annie, Gypsy, and Les Misérables. Flynn ‘s Broadway credits include Juan Darien, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Tommy .
