David Mamet to Appear at Museum of Moving Image’s A Life In Film on October 13

Playwright David Mamet will take part in the Museum of the Moving Image’s program David Mamet: A Life in Film at 7pm on Wednesday, October 13 at the New School’s Tishman Auditorium. The event, which will be moderated by David Schwartz, will feature numerous clips from Mamet’s films.

Mamet received Oscar nominations for his screenplays for The Verdict and Wag the Dog, and has directed such films as House of Games, The Spanish Prisoner and Redbelt. Several of his plays, including Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Glengarry Glen Ross, and Oleanna, have been adapted into films.

The event also coincides with the current Broadway production of Mamet’s A Life in the Theater, starring Patrick Stewart and T.R. Knight, which officially opens on October 12.
