Chris Mixon will play Dr. Martin Luther in the Pearl Theatre Company’s production of David Davalos’ Wittenberg, to run March 11 – April 17 at New York City Center Stage II. J.R. Sullivan will direct the production.

Davalos’ comedy is set at Wittenberg University in the early sixteenth century and focuses on professors Doctor Faustus and Reverend Martin Luther who are both attempting to gain the allegiance of their star pupil Prince Hamlet. Additional casting will be announced shortly.

Mixon is currently appearing in the company’s production of The Sneeze and was also seen in Dr. Knock, or the Triumph of Medicine at the Mint Theater earlier this year. His regional credits include appearances at the Denver Center Theatre Company, the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and the Utah Shakespearean Festival.
