Chiara Montalto’s Emergency Used Candles to Play Off-Broadway at Cherry Lane

Writer/performer Chiara Montalto’s Emergency Used Candles will play an Off-Broadway engagement at the Cherry Lane’s Stuido Theatre, November 4-20, with an opening on November 6. Victoria Malvagno will direct.

Presented by Barefoot Theatre Company, the autobiographically-based work is set in Brooklyn and about the profound effect a grandfather and his granddaughter have on each other as one’s life is ending while the other’s is just beginning.

The creative team will include Tom Lenz (set), Josh Iacovelli (lighting), and Eric Nightengale (sound), with costumes by Malvagno.
