Charles Randolph-Wright Wins 2010 Paul Robeson Award

Charles Randolph-Wright, currently represented Off-Broadway for his direction of Daniel Beaty’s Through the Night, is the recipient of Actors’ Equity Association’s 2010 Paul Robeson Award. It will be presented to him at the 2010 General Membership meeting at the Union’s headquarters in New York City, on October 8.

Created in 1974, the award recognizes a person who best exemplifies the principles by which Robeson lived. Randolph-Wright has had a prolific career as actor, director, and playwright, and consistently demonstrated a commitment to creating roles and opportunities for people of color.
