Burlesque Soundtrack, Featuring Cher and Christine Aguilera, Set for November 22 Release

By Andy Propst • Oct 29, 2010 • New York City
The soundtrack for the forthcoming movie musical Burlesque, featuring Cher and Christine Aguilera, will be released by RCA Records on November 22. The movie, directed and co-written by Steven Antin, is slated for a November 24 release.

The 10-track album will feature two new numbers performed by Cher, including "Welcome to Burlesque," as well as "You Haven't Seen The Last of Me," which has been written by Diane Warren.

Aguilera performs the balance of the material on the disc, offering up both new songs as well as remakes and covers of such classic songs as Etta James' "Something's Got A Hold On Me" and "Tough Lover" and Mae West's "A Guy What Takes His Time."

As previously reported, the story centers on Tess (Cher), a former dancer who struggles to keep her neo-burlesque club open and gives a young singer (Aguilera) a chance to shine.

The film also stars Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, Alan Cumming, Cam Gigandet, and Eric Dane.
