Bill Irwin, Tracie Thoms, et al. Set for Westport Country Playhouse in December

Westport Country Playhouse has announces six special events to take place in December, to coincide with the winter holidays.

Stage and screen star Tracie Thoms will present her cabaret show, Seasons, on Friday, December 10, at 8pm. Tony Award winner Bill Irwin will join Doug Skinner for The Clowns and Mr. Beckett on Saturday, December 11, at 8pm. The evening is an exploration in the art of clowning, the works of Samuel Beckett, and their shared passion for classic vaudeville and silent film comedians.

Other events will include Ballet Etudes Company’s production of The Nutcracker (December 4 and 5) featuring Michelle Wiles, American Ballet Theatre principal dancer, and Arch Higgins, New York City Ballet soloist; TheatreWorks USA’s Season’s Greetings (December 12); a script in hand play reading with music of The Greatest Gift, with book and lyrics by David Wiltse and music by Denis King (December 13); and a concert by The Broadway Boys (December 18 and 19).
