Betty Buckley’s New CD Bootleg: Boardmixes From the Road to Be Released October 16

Betty Buckley’s newest album Bootleg: Boardmixes From the Road will be released in tandem with her upcoming appearance at Town Hall. The recording will be available for download from iTunes next week as well.

The tracks for the disc have been culled from live performances Buckley has offered around the country. Among the songs on the album are “It Might as Well Be Spring,” “Ghost in This House,” “Bye Bye Country Boy,” and “Stormy Blues” as well as a new song by Michael McDonald, “Honest Emotion” and “Blue Skies,” which previews a disc, produced by T Bone Burnett, which Buckley will be releasing in 2011

The actress won a Tony Award for her performance as Grizabella in Cats, received a Tony nomination for Triumph of Love, and an Olivier Award nomination for Sunset Boulevard. Additional Broadway credits include Carrie, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Song and Dance, Pippin, and 1776. She is currently participating in a workshop for the new Tales of the City musical at American Conservatory Theatre.
