Naked Angels has announced its 2011 season, which will begin with Naked Footprints: An Issues Project, to run March 24-April 2 at Comix.

This festival of original material — one-acts, radio plays with live foley, new music, comedic film shorts, stand-up comedy and lively political discussion — will explore the nature of sustainability as it relates to the environment, interpersonal relationships and business.

The theater’s second offering will be Bekah Brunstetter’s exploration of a woman coping with the aftermath of a freak accident, A Long and Happy Life, to run June 14 – July 24 at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre. Pippin Parker will direct the production.

The Naked Angels season will conclude with Zayd Dohrn’s Outside People, to be offered next fall, also at the Sharp Theatre. The play examines Chinese and U.S. relations through the romance between an American man and a Chinese woman in contemporary Beijing.

In addition to these productions, the theater will continue its development work through its Tuesdays@9, 1st Mondays and Angels in Progress series and will maintain its Naked Radio weekly podcast series.

In related news, the theater has announced that its annual gala will be held on February 14 at Roseland Ballroom. Guests and performers will be announced at a later date.
