The film, currently shooting in Detroit, is about a high school teacher who wins the lottery and uses the money to restore the local library. Posey will play the part of opportunistic mayor, Shirley Paine.
Posey received a Lucille Lortel Award for Hurlyburly, and a Lortel nomination for Fifth of July. Other theater credits include Four Dogs and a Bone and Taller Than a Dwarf.
