Nick Cearley will appear in the title role and Eric Michael Gillett will be Gepetto in Mark Janas and Peter Napolitano’s Pinocchio of Chelsea at The Laurie Beechman Theatre on October 26. This one-night-only performance is being presented as part of Cabaret Cares, the ongoing cabaret benefit series that raises money for Broadway Cares and Help Is On The Way Today.

The musical uses Carlo Collodi’s original fairy tale as its inspiration, and retells the familiar fable from a gay point of view. The company will also feature Marcie Henderson (The Blues Fairy), Tyrone Robinson (Fontaine Fox), Lennie Watts (Calvin Cat), Jeffrey Biering (The Crow), Stephen Wilde (The Owl), David Vernon (The Poodle), as well as Mick Bleyer, Brian Fahey, and Kyle Hines. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

The musicians will be Sean Harkness (guitar), Ritt Henn (bass), Walter Usiatynski (percussion), and Mark Janas (piano/conductor).
