Mary Birdsong, Lisa Joyce, Jane Lynch, and Mary Louise Wilson celebrated their first performance in Love, Loss and What I Wore, at the Westside Theatre, on October 21. They joined current company member Tyne Daly in the show, with all five actresses continuing through November 15.
Nora and Delia Ephron’s adaptation of Ilene Beckerman’s 1995 book about clothes and the memories they trigger, is directed by Karen Carpenter and features a series of three five-person casts in four-week cycles.
As previously announced, the next cast (November 18 – December 13) will include Kristin Chenoweth, Lucy DeVito, Capathia Jenkins, Rhea Perlman and Rita Wilson. The show was recently extended through March 2010.
A portion of ticket sales will benefit Dress for Success, a charity that provides work clothing and job support for low-income women.
