Jenny Allen’s I Got Sick Then I Got Better to Move to NYTW’s 4th Street Theatre

Jenny Allen’s solo show I Got Sick Then I Got Better — currently playing Monday nights at New York Theatre Workshop through October 19 — will transfer to the NYTW’s 4th Street Theatre space, beginning October 23.

The play is an account of the writer/performer’s battle with ovarian cancer. Allen is best known as a journalist, with her essays and reviews appearing in such publications as The New York Times, New York, Vogue, Esquire, and Life. She is the author of a collection of fables for grown-ups called The Long Chalkboard, illustrated by her husband, Jules Feiffer.
