Gregg Edleman, Harriet Harris, Debra Monk, Kate Shindle, Barbara Walsh et al. Set for NAMT’s Festival of New Musicals

Additional information has been announced for The National Alliance of Musical Theatre’s 21st Annual Festival of New Musicals, to take place October 19-20 at New World Stages.

The composers and lyricists who will be featured in the annual Songwriters’ Showcase are Benji Goldsmith and Jonathan Karpinos (The Averageachievers Club); Joe Iconis (The Black Suits); Drew Gasparini (Crazy, Just Like Me); Patrick Barry (The Great American Race); Maggie-Kate Coleman and Anna K. Jacobs (Pop!); Dan Collins and Julianne Wick Davis (Southern Comfort); Eric Rosen and Matt Sax, along with Curtis Moore (Venice); and Deborah Abramson and Amanda Yesnowitz (White I Wait). Performers will include Matt Doyle, Robert Hager, Leslie Kritzer, Nathan Scherich, Jason Tam, Barbara Walsh, Noah Weisberg, Brandon Anderson, Justin Anthony, Amy Burgess, Michael Deleget, Tara Giordano, Amy Linden, Gary Lowery, Keeshon Morrow, Cristen Paige, Cody Ryan, Meg Steedle, and Joel Waggoner.

Eight musicals will be showcased at NAMT. Iron Curtain will feature Fred Applegate, Maria Couch, Gregg Edelman, David Foley, Jr., Liz Larsen, Lisa Mindelle, Aaron Ramey, Dara Seitzman, Doug Shapiro, Robby Sharpe, Jim Stanek, and Betsy Wolfe.

Tony Award winners Harriet Harris and Debra Monk will star in It Shoulda Been You, which will also feature Becca Ayers, Fred Berman, Jeremy Ellison Gladstone, Nathan Lee Graham, Joe Grifasi, Colin Hanlon, Lisa Howard, Marla Mindelle, Michael Tucker, and Nick Wyman.

Jen Babiak, Cyrilla Baer, Neal Benari, Michael Kadin Craig, Joan Hess, Liz McCartney, Eric William Morris, Rob Richardson, Ivan Rutherford, Elena Shaddow, Kate Shindle, and Bruce Winant will star in Duane Nelsen’s Ripper.

Hostage Song, by Clay McLeod Chapman and Kyle Jarrow, will feature Jeb Brown, Susan Goodwillie, John Hickok, Maria-Christina Oliveras, and Caesar Samoya.

Band Geeks will feature Jill Abramovitz, Aaron J. Albano, Marie-France Arcilla, John Bolton, Alex Brighton, Adam Chanler-Berat, Dwayne Clark, Jared Gertner, Lindsay Mendez, Griffin Matthews, Patti Murin, and Kat Palardy.

Factory Girls will star Steel Burkhardt, Kayce Cummings, Allison Cusano, Kate Ferber, Tom Ford, Molly Hager, Anika Larsen, David Larsen, Carrie Manolakos, Kate Rockwell, Dana Steingold, and Nicole Weiss.

Finally, How Can You Run With a Shell on Your Back? will star Carey Anderson, Gideon Glick, Emma Hunton, Melissa Menezes, Derrick Trumbly, Greg Vinkler, and Noah Weisberg; and Memory Is the Mother of All Wisdom will star Leslie Kritzer and Catherine Cox.
