Glenn Seven Allen, Branch Fields Set for William Bolcom’s Opera A View From the Bridge

Broadway veterans Glenn Seven Allen and Branch Fields have been cast in the Vertical Player Repertory Opera’s production of William Bolcom’s opera A View From the Bridge, October 22 – November 1. Michael Unger will direct.

Based on Arthur Miller’s play, the opera tells the tragic story of a Red Hook longshoresman. This production will premiere a two piano arrangement that has been developed for the piece in collaboration with Bolcom.

The production will be conducted by Peter Szep and feature pianists Audrey Saint-Gil, and Lloyd Paguia Arriola. The cast will also feature Judith Barnes, Will Browning, Branch Fields, Valentina Fleer, and Sam Smith.
