Cassie Wooley Wins NYMF’s 2009 Next Broadway Sensation Contest

Cassie Wooley has been named the winner of NYMF’s 2009 Next Broadway Sensation contest, which had its final round on Sunday, October 4 at New World Stages.

As the winner, Wooley will receive a special solo concert, co-presented by NYMF and Sh-K-Boom Records, as well as a featured track on an upcoming Stage Stars accompaniment album. This year’s competition was directed by Eric Louie, with musical direction by Christopher D. Littlefield.

In related news, last year’s champion Shawna M. Hamic will perform her solo cabaret Outside the Box at Joe’s Pub on November 2 at 11:30 pm. Donna Lynne Champlin directs.
