Beyoncé, Reba McEntire, Green Day Among American Music Award Nominees

Beyoncé, Reba McEntire, and Green Day are among the artists who have received 2009 American Music Award nominations. The awards will be presented on Sunday, November 22 in a ceremony broadcast on ABC.

Green Day’s musical American Idiot is currently playing at Berkeley Repertory Theatre and may transfer to Broadway later this season. McEntire has been seen on Broadway in Annie Get Your Gun and appeared opposite Brian Stokes Mitchell in a concert performance of South Pacific at Carnegie Hall. Beyonce played Deena Jones in the movie musical Dreamgirls and was seen as Etta James in Cadillac Car.

Other nominees include Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Eminem, Kings of Leon, Keith Urban, T.I., Black Eyed Peas, Jason Mraz, Daughtry, Keyshia Cole, and Shinedown.
