Bekah Brunstetter, Josh Koenigsberg, Margaret “Mag” McCloskey, Megan Mostyn-Brown, Harrison Rivers, and Mac Rogers are the finalists for the Montblanc Writers Project for The 24 Hour Plays, which were announced yesterday at the National Arts Club by 24 Hour Plays creator Tina Fallon, Montblanc CEO Jan-Patrick Schmitz, and Urban Arts Partnership Executive Director Phillip Courtney.

Excerpts of the playwrights’ work will be showcased on talenthouse.com, and a winning writer will be chosen to participate in this year’s 24 Hour Plays based on the votes they receive from the Talenthouse community. “Each finalist has done a 24 Hour Play process at some point in their career,” said Fallon, “So we know they can deliver. I can’t believe someone has to choose one of them.”

Also in attendance at the National Arts Club event were 24 Hour Plays alumni and current cast members, including Ashlie Atkinson, Rachel Dratch, Craig “Mums” Grant, Diane Neal, Patrick Heusinger, Theresa Rebeck, Krysten Ritter, Marie Schulenberg, and Lucy Thurber.
