terraNOVA Collective Announces Residency at DR2

The terraNOVA Collective has announced the line-up for its 2008-2009 season as DR2 Theatre’s newest resident theater company.

The season will open with Blue Before Morning by Kate McGovern, October 18-November 8, with direction by Gia Forakis. In the play three strangers hit I-95 and find themselves on a journey of coincidences and second chances that straddle past and present. terraNOVA will also hold The Groundbreakers Writer’s Workshop starting in late October, a weekly writers’ workshop from which one play will receive a mainstage production.

The Groundbreakers Reading Series, which will present the selected work from The Groundbreakers Writer’s Workshop will be run Spring/Fall 2009, and the season will also include The 6th Annual soloNOVA Arts Festival in May 2009, which celebrates individuals who push the boundaries of what it means to be an artist to redefine the solo form.

The terraNOVA will be joining the Women’s Expressive Theatre (WET) as the second theatre company to be offered residency at the DR2 Theatre.
